    What is moey!?

    moey! is the first fully Portuguese, mobile-only, digital banking solution. It was created in partnership with world leading tech and payment companies such as Mastercard and Microsoft, but also with some of the most innovative and disruptive fintechs in the world, such as Meniga or MeaWallet.     moey! account is a current account that gives you the option of requesting a physical debit card. The account gives you access to all the moey! features, so that you have full control over your expenses, through the app.

    How can I dowload the app?

    moey! is exclusively available for iOS and Android smartphones.
    iOS Smartphone:
      • iOS 11 and above (the app works in previous iOS versions but we don't guarentee support)
      • Go to the App Store and search for moey!
    Android smartphone:
      • Android 6.0 and above  (the app works in previous android versions but we don't guarentee support)
      • Go to the Play Store and search for moey!

    For the app to work correctly you need to have Google Services.

    Who can subscribe?

    Anyone with a Portuguese ID or residence certificate, with an address in Portugal can subscribe to any moey! products, provided they are over 18 years old. 
    In the case of Brazilian citizens who enjoy the status of equal rights and duties under the Porto Seguro Treaty, it is necessary to present the citizen card issued by the Portuguese Republic or the residence permit through chave móvel digital.
    Each client is only allowed one account.

    How much does it cost to have a moey! account?

    There are no initial or maintenance costs associated to a moey! account. Truth is, there are hardly any costs at all. Check out our price list here.

    Can I have my salary paid into my account?

    You can have your salary deposited into your moey! account every month, at no extra cost. All you need to do is give your moey! account details to your employer. These can be found in the |Settings| of your moey! app

    What cards and currency can be used on moey!?

    Your moey! account is in euros.
    moey! cards work using the local currency, regardless of the country, applying the exchange rate.
    You can top up your moey! with any card which allows for online transactions and has 3DS system.

    Can I install moey! on more than one device?

    Yes, you can install the app on more than one device.
    But you can't have your account active on more than one device at the same time. Whenever you try to login from another device we will ask you if you want to switch the device from which you access moey! This implies, for example, changing the tokens for NFC payment from one device to another.

    Is there a limit to the number of friends I can invite?

    No, you can invite all your contacts and share your code on social media.

    There is however a maximum amount of rewards you can win: 100.

    What should I do to become eligible for the campaign?

    There are 2 ways to participate in the campaign.

    If you already have a moey! account go to Settings > Invite friends and share your code with your friends.

    If you don’t have a moey! account, you need to open the account through a code sent by a moey! client and register in the campaign page. After activating the code you have to open the account in 30 days. After that you have 30 days to complete the required payment.

    How much will I earn for each friend I earn?

    You win € 5!

    For that, your friends have to complete all the steps of the process: open an account through your link, accept the Campaign Regulation and make eligible purchases or payments equal to or greater than 20 €.

    For that you have to open your moey! account through a code and fulfil all the necessary steps: accept the campaign regulation and make eligible purchases and / or payments equal to or greater than 20 €.

    I’ve got a link from a friend who already closed the moey! account. Is there any problem?

    No problem!

    You will get your reward as long as you open the account within 30 days after activating the code and completing all steps of the campaign. Your friend will not receive its reward.

    When will you receive my money?

    If you already have moey! account and invite friends, you will receive your reward within 5 business days after your friend completes the process.

    If you are opening your account you will receive your reward within 5 business days after opening the account and making € 20 in purchases.

    How do I know which friend has already completed the process?

    Can I see which friends I have invited?

    You can’t see the invitations sent, only those who have already opened an account or completed the entire process using your code.

    You can send invitations as many times as you like, as long as the campaign is active.

    You can also use the option to share your code wherever you want.

    Where can I see the total money from the friends I have raised?

    You can see all the money you've already earned with the campaign in Settings > Invite friends.

    How can I open my account in order to receive my money?

    To open your account within the campaign you must receive an invitation from a moey! client, click on the link with the code and enter the number you will use to open your moey! account.

    Then, install the moey! app and follow the steps to open your account, within 30 days after activating the code. You must accept the various legal documents, namely the Campaign Regulation. It is not mandatory to accept this document in order to open the account, but if you do not accept it, you do not have access to the campaign and you will not receive your reward.

    After opening your account, you must make payments and / or purchases over € 20 within 30 days. Not all payments are eligible.

    Check the list of ineligible payments in the campaign regulation.

    Two friends sent me the link. Who will receive the money from my account opening?

    It is possible to associate your number to several different codes.

    The code that will be associated with your number is always the last one that you associated it with, and that contact will benefit from the prize with your account opening.

    How much money can I earn?

    There is no limit to the amount of money you can earn. You will earn € 5 for each friend who uses your code and complete the steps of the campaign: open the account, accept the Campaign Regulation and make eligible payments and / or purchases over € 20 within 30 days.

    I registered with a code but I don't remember who the friend was. How can I know?

    If you received several codes and put your number in several codes, the last one will be the valid one. When you complete the process, you will not have visibility of which friend received the prize for your opening.

    I made my payment and didn't receive the amount

    If you made purchases and / or payments and did not receive the amount within 5 business days, then most likely the payment you made is not accepted as eligible or was not made 30 days after opening the account. Check in the regulation which payments are accepted.

    How do I know that people who are not contacts have used my code?

    You will not know who used your code if those people are not on your contact list.

    You can see the earnings you already had from the codes used by people who are not in your contacts in Setting > Invite Friends > My earnings.

    Who is eligible for the promotion?

    The campaign is available to current customers and new moey! customers, being limited to the available offer.

    If you already have a moey! account you must have made € 20 in eligible purchases in the 30 days prior to your registration on the campaign page, where you must insert the email associated to your moey! account. If you have a moey! Account for less than 30 days, you will have some time to complete payments.

    If you don't have a moey! account yet, you need to register your email on the campaign page and then open your moey account! registering the same email. You will then have 30 days to complete € 20 in eligible purchases.

    If you are already a Zomato Pro client you will not be able to participate in the Campaign.

    How can I make payments?

    You don't need to have a moey! physical card to make payments. You can use your virtual card for online payments or to pay with your device through NFC. You can also pay services, telecommunications or State payments through the app or pay via MB WAY with QR Code.

    When will I receive my promotion?

    Why is my payment not eligible?

    Eligible payments considered:

        i)   payments made with your moey! debit card

        ii)  purchases made through all available methods on moey! app

        iii) Direct debits

    Top up, bank transfers and  service payments and or  purchase payments through entity and reference are not considered eligible payments.

    Money safety

    Is moey! a safe bank?

    Yes! moey! is a Crédito Agrícola Group brand. The group is composed of the Caixa Central de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo, and 80 Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo branches, and is one of Portugal’s most solid Groups. Your deposit is covered, within the legal limits, by the Crédito Agrícola Mútuo Guarantee Fund (FGCAM), created by Law nº 182/87, of the 21st of April 1987. The FGCAM guarantees up to 100,000 euros per depositor, per institution. This means that all the deposits in the same credit institution are added, to determine the level of coverage. If, for instance, you have a savings account of 90,000 EUR and a current account with a balance of 20 000 EUR in one institution, your refund will be limited to 100,000 EUR. FGCAM assures the refund of deposits in any of the institutions which are part of the Crédito Agrícola Mútuo Integrated System (SICAM), made up of the Caixa Central de Crédito Agrícola, CRL and its member Crédito Agrícola Mútuo Branches, all of which are independent and autonomous credit institutions. The FGCAM is activated in the case of any of its participants having its authorisation revoked, or should the SICAM be unable to guarantees the refund of the money deposited with its members according to the applicable legal and contractual conditions. Therefore, your deposit is guaranteed, first of all, by SICAM, which shores up that which is already provided by the deposit guarantee system. Your credit institution is, therefore, part of two systems: a protection system based on the mutual support of its members, so as to avoid situations of insolvency, refunding the deposits of other parties which are unable to fulfil their financial obligations (SICAM) and a deposit guarantee system (FGCAM).     Why must I choose a Crédito Agrícola branch?

    moey! is a Crédito Agrícola Group brand, which is composed of 80 Caixa de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo branches. Since your deposit is guaranteed by the Crédito Agrícola Mútuo Guarantee Fund, according to the terms and limits of the law, your account has to be linked to a branch but don't worry because you won't need to go there to use your moey! account. Everything is done through the app.
